Managed source control on GitLab

Your source code, your infrastructure configuration and your runbooks are the most valuable text your company owns. We run a private GitLab instance for you, inside private address space in our own datacenters, so the history of everything you build lives on a server you control and is never one leaked token away from the internet.
What it is
A dedicated, self hosted GitLab: repositories, merge requests, issues and work items, wikis, container registry and CI pipelines, for your organisation only. It can sit entirely on a private network reachable only over your VPN, or face the internet behind firewall policy you decide.
We operate it: installation, hardening, backups, monitoring, security advisories and upgrades. Your developers get GitLab. You get to stop worrying about where your code actually lives.
How we build it
GitLab runs in Podman containers under systemd on Oracle Linux, with SELinux enforcing. By default it lives on private networks only. Developers reach it over a VPN or from your own offices; the public internet does not see it at all.
Backups are taken from the backup side, which pulls from the platform. The platform itself has no route to the backup infrastructure, so a compromised server cannot reach or damage its own backups.
When GitLab publishes a fix, we check it against your exact installation and write down the real exposure: is the affected feature enabled, can the vulnerable path be reached from where an attacker sits, what is the residual risk on the inside. That assessment decides between an emergency window tonight and a planned one this week, and you get the reasoning, not just a severity score.
Migration in is part of the service: repositories with full history, issues, merge requests and users from another GitLab, or plain git history from other platforms.
What it protects you from
- Code and configuration that exist only on one engineer's laptop.
- Secrets leaking to a public code hosting service through one careless push.
- A public SaaS platform changing its pricing, terms or availability underneath your build pipeline.
- A headline severity score forcing a panic upgrade when the vulnerable path was never reachable, or the opposite: a real exposure left open because nobody looked.
- An instance that is backed up by pushing to a place an attacker can also reach.
In practice
We can also put guard rails around your teams' habits: scheduled commits and pushes so work does not stay on a laptop, and a pre-push check that refuses to send credentials or internal data to any remote outside an allow list you approve.
Why EuroVPS
- Private by default: your GitLab can live on networks the internet never sees.
- Advisories assessed against your actual installation, in writing, on the day.
- Backups pulled from the secure side; production never pushes into backup.
- Hosted in our own datacenters in Athens, Amsterdam or Toronto on enterprise all-flash storage.
- Engineers who depend on GitLab for their own work every day.
FAQ
Can CI runners run on our own servers? Yes. Runners can sit on dedicated servers or private cloud machines we run for you, next to the instance, on the same private network.
Can you migrate us from a public code hosting service? Yes. We move repositories with full history, and from another GitLab we also move issues, merge requests and users.
Is it reachable from the internet? Only if you want it to be. The default is private network and VPN access only.
How quickly are security fixes applied? Every advisory is assessed the same day. Real exposure gets an emergency window; everything else goes into a planned window, and you see the assessment either way.
Can we keep using our existing tools? Yes. It is standard GitLab: the same web interface, APIs, git clients and integrations your teams use today.
