Managed office documents on Nextcloud

Nextcloud file sync and share with Collabora office editing in the browser, on your own server in our datacenters, on infrastructure you control.

Nextcloud gives your people file sync, sharing and folders across desktops and phones. Collabora adds full office editing in the browser: documents, spreadsheets and presentations, several people in the same file at once. We run both for you on a dedicated server in our datacenters, so your working documents never sit on a consumer cloud of unclear jurisdiction.

What it is

A private document platform for your organisation. Shared folders by team or project, desktop and mobile sync clients, external share links with expiry and passwords, version history on every file, and in-browser editing of the common office formats without installing anything.

It is yours alone: a dedicated instance on your own domain, with your own users, connected to your directory if you have one. We operate everything underneath it.

How we build it

The platform runs on Oracle Linux behind HAProxy, with TLS terminated at the edge and SELinux enforcing. Nextcloud, its database, its cache and the Collabora editor run as a defined stack in which every component is pinned to a version we chose.

Upgrades follow the supported path one release at a time, with login, the editor and WebDAV access checked after each step. Your people see a short planned window, not a weekend.

Sizing is measured, not guessed. We watch real load and memory use and add resources when the measurements say so, for example when many people edit large documents at the same time. The measurements can just as well say keep what you have.

Backups are pulled from the backup side under our pull only design: the document server has no route to its own backups.

What it protects you from

  • Company documents on a consumer cloud, governed by another country's law and another company's terms.
  • Floating container tags that change what runs without anyone deciding it.
  • An upgrade that leaves the editor broken on Monday morning.
  • A file overwritten by mistake with no way back.
  • Sync clients pointed at a service that can lock your account.

Why EuroVPS

  • A dedicated instance, not a shared tenant.
  • Every component pinned and upgraded by decision, along the supported path.
  • Hosted in our own datacenters in Athens, Amsterdam or Toronto, on enterprise all-flash storage.
  • Backups pulled by the secure side; the platform cannot reach them.
  • Sizing from measurements, so you pay for what you need.

FAQ

Which file formats can we edit in the browser? The common word processing, spreadsheet and presentation formats, including the Microsoft Office and OpenDocument formats. Several people can edit the same file at the same time.

Can we connect it to our existing directory? Yes. Users can come from your LDAP or Active Directory, so people sign in with the accounts they already have.

Can we share files with people outside the company? Yes, with links that can carry a password and an expiry date, or with read only access.

What happens if someone deletes or overwrites a file? Deleted files go to a recycle bin and every save is versioned, so the owner can restore an earlier version. Platform backups sit behind that.

Can you move us from another file sharing service? Yes. We plan the move with you, bring the files across and verify them before your people switch.
