Since our founding in 2004, we’ve never used anything less than the best servers available on the market. We want quality, not budget-grade gear.
What: HP Proliant servers are our preferred model line. We never use retrofit desktop computers, or budget servers such as SuperMicro.
Why: True enterpise-grade hosting is not cheap in the short-term, but it is in the long-term. Hardware inevitably (future hardware failure) always costs more in the long run, and that’s what happens with cheap servers and desktops. Desktops refitted into racks are not true servers, and generally will always fail within a short time. Desktops were not made to meet the demands of 24/7 operation. True enterprise servers are designed with nonstop operation in mind, and are built to withstand hardware failure without a need to power down.
